The S3DP-V processor is designed specifically for use in land vehicles, with power supplies conforming to demanding vehicle specifications. S3DP-V supports all major operating systems. The product delivers the latest developments in commercial computing power into demanding rugged vehicle applications.

S3DP-V

The S3DP-V provides a rugged solution to general purpose computing requirements. The unit is a solid state data processor that can be used in extreme environments particularly land vehicles. It has a wide operating temperature performance (-40°C to +80°C), as well as excellent resilience to shock, vibration and acceleration.

The product is fitted with military specification connectors which can be capped when not in use, ensuring protection to IP67 standard against water and dust ingress. S3DP-V Units are equipped with up to 128GB internal storage, 2x Serial Interfaces, 2x Gigabit Ethernet, 2x CAN Bus as well as Audio, GPS, Digital Compass and Internal Accelerometer options.

The S3DP-V processor is also available in two variants for specific application:

S3DP-V Secure

A secure computing variant of the S3DP-V is available using the powerful SES Secure Removable Memory Cartridge. The Secure High-Speed Cartridge is available with up to 128GB capacity with on-board functions able to fully meet specific security requirements.

GeneVA - S3DP-V Core i7

SES GeneVA Vehicle Data Processor is designed to meet the new Defence Standard 23-09, Generic Vehicle Architecture. The effect of the standard is to realise the benefits of an open architecture approach to land platform design and integration. The GeneVA combines powerful performance with GVA compliant connectivity.

Extreme Environmental Performance

The S3DP-V offers a qualified rugged solution to general purpose computing requirements. The S3DP-V is a solid state data processor that can be used in extreme land vehicle applications. It has a wide operating temperature performance (-40°C to +80°C), as well as excellent resistance to shock, vibration and acceleration.

Built from a rugged aluminium enclosure with full water and dust ingress protection, the S3DP-V is fitted with military specification connectors. It employs filtering and isolation to achieve EMC immunity and emissions in accordance with the requirements for use in land vehicle applications.

Most importantly, the S3DP-V can be provided with full qualification reports, providing test results and evidence that will support its use on a wide range of platforms. Where additional or platform-specific qualification evidence is required, SES can undertake further testing to provide the required test evidence
